If you are reading this you are probably a Christian single, possibly looking for a Christian date. Actually, those words are more for search engines than reality. You are probably a single Christian looking for the one that God may have for you? So how does it work, you may ask. How do I find right one, the other Christian single that is looking for you? There are a million how to about this but in reality is has more to do with your position before God, than "the right Christian". Think about it this way, have you even tried to find the right person, I mean your deep into searching, communicating, dating and it seems to fill you mind and life? Does it ever seem like the more you try and the more you search the more you are disappointed? Then it is time to do something different. Stop! Take a breath! Pray to God and seek to know him more, seek fulfillment in him, lift up your heavy burden to him even ask for the help in doing all of these things.
Why do this, for it is another formula on how to find the right Christian single? No! God is our source for everything; he is the one that we should be going to handle that which we cannot. This includes your deep desire to find the right one. Seek him and pray that you will find contentment in Him. In doing so, you will be focused on that which is truly important and in doing so your search for the right Christian single will change from that of desperation to that of health an wholeness. This most likely will not come overnight and rightly so as the burden is heavy. So each time you feel the burden, lift it up to God in prayer, seek him and ask him to lift the burden.
If you have never sought God and contentment I encourage you to do so. Here are some verses that resemble this same idea. 2 Chronicles 15, Proverbs 3:4-5, Matthew 6:25.
So seek God and his peace, pray for contentment in Him. Also, continue to search for the Christian single you are looking for. Continue to take the steps to get to know others and potentials Christian dates or friends, but only when you are resting in God and are relying upon him.
