It is most important for you to know that I do not believe in a submissive wife relationship. I have no desire to change a man, nor a desire to be changed except for things like 'you need a little more deodorant honey'. I believe that God's ultimate goal for human relationships can be derived from "in heaven there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.". I see this as a statement of equality, and believe the Biblical outline of husband-wife power structure was made in a culture that also allowed multiple wives and stoning to death for promiscuity and overeating children, women wearing hats in synagog, and walking three steps behind a man. I believe that a 50-50 parnership can be a beautiful and happy one, and that 60-40 likely leads to despair.
